One of the major festivals of India, Dasara/Navrathri/Dushera, is celebrated with a variety of traditions, festivities, and of course – feasts. Some of these celebrations include the famous Mysuru Dasara procession, Garba during the Navrathri, and of course, closer to my heart, the ever-cherished tradition of Golu or Bommai Golu. This tradition has been in my family, both maternal and paternal sides, for so many generations, and I chose to bring it into my family too. Every year, not counting some not-so-good years, during this festival, we have a simple/small but cute Bommai Golu. Here is a collection of Golu at our home from tha past until 2026.
